Hello there. What a week, huh? We all went out and voted and expected to have some kind of resolution to the political tension we have been living in for the last few months. Yet, here we are. Waiting. And what is harder than that? I have seen this be a very intense stressor for people, particularly the last couple days. As we wait, I want to do my best to offer some ways to manage the uncertainty. In situations like this, one thing to remember is that you did what you had control over. That’s all any of us can do. Now the rest is out of our hands and so finding other things to take your attention and staying busy will help. We are kind of back to the distracted place we were at the beginning of the pandemic (which by the way is still raging and in fact seems to have intensified). To manage things we can’t affect change with, we must find other things to do. Stick to your normal routine as much as you can.

The stakes feel very high to many people regarding the election, which is why it is creating such problems for some. I would assert that offering grace to one another and acknowledging that this is a difficult wait will also help. In the end, we are all in this together.
