So much loss

Bell Fourche Sunset 2973 8-2010

As I review my posts here, the thing that stands out for me is loss. This has been a year of loss. We have lost jobs, graduations, proms, semesters of school, swimming, vacations, shopping, eating out, movies and other things too numerous to list here. As we all seek that normalcy and look to the future for solace and hope, it is ok to acknowledge the loss. To be affected by it. We are not unfeeling and we are touched by the situation we find ourselves in. We are touched by the losses we have had and those of our neighbors. Grief is often associated with death. And there has been plenty of death to grieve for. However, grief happens around any loss. Sometimes it is big and sometimes it is smaller, but we grieve for our losses. And it is important to let that process happen. This is how you reconcile the changes. This is how you adapt and incorporate the “new normal” into your life. You let yourself grieve.

Until next time, Thanks & take care,

AmyZ
